Use your mail in other AI apps

Let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI app read the mailboxes you choose, through Mira's MCP server.

Mira's MCP server lets the AI apps you already use read your email. Ask Claude "What did the accountant send me this month?" and it looks up the answer in your mailboxes. Connected apps can only read: they cannot send, delete or change anything.

Before you start

Mira Pro. See Plans and AI credits.
At least one connected mailbox.
An AI app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in, such as Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT or Cursor.

Connect

The server address is:

https://mail.mirahq.app/mcp

You can also copy it in Mira, under Settings, Connected apps, with Copy server address.

Claude

On Pro and Max plans, open Customize, then Connectors, select + Add, then Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds it in Organization settings, under Connectors. Name it Mira, paste the server address, and sign in when Claude asks. See Anthropic's guide: Get started with custom connectors.

Claude Code

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and select mira to sign in.

Cursor

Add Mira to your MCP settings, in ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project:

Cursor shows a sign-in button for Mira in its MCP settings.

ChatGPT and other apps

Add a custom MCP server, which some apps call a connector, with the address above. Choose the Streamable HTTP transport if the app asks. The app opens Mira's sign-in page when it first connects.

Allow access

When you connect, Mira asks you to sign in if you are not signed in yet, and shows Connect with Mira MCP:

Choose the mailboxes

Under Mailboxes, choose the ones the app may read. With All mailboxes chosen, mailboxes you connect later are included too.

Check where you are sent

Check that the address under "You will be redirected to the following location" belongs to your AI app, then tick I recognize and trust this URL.

Continue

Select Continue. Mira sends you back to the app, which can now read the mailboxes you chose.

Connecting the same app again replaces its earlier connection, so you can change its mailboxes that way.

What the app can do

`list_mailboxes`	Lists the mailboxes you chose, with their labels or folders.
`search_mail`	Searches your email, with operators like `from:`, `has:attachment`, and `in:` with a label or folder name.
`list_recent`	Lists the newest conversations in a folder, like the inbox or one of your labels.
`get_thread`	Reads one conversation in full.
`read_attachment`	Reads the text of a PDF or text-file attachment.

Apps can make up to 100 requests per minute in total. They use no AI credits: the app's own AI does the work.

Disconnect

In Settings, open Connected apps. Under Apps with access, select Disconnect on the app's row and confirm. The app loses access right away.
