Add notes to conversations

Keep a private note on any conversation, like what you agreed or what to do next.

A note is a few words for yourself about a conversation, like "Agreed €4,000, invoice after launch". Only you see it.

Add a note

Open the conversation

Select it in your inbox or any other folder.

Select Add note

Select Add note in the toolbar above the conversation. You can also open the ⋯ menu next to a conversation in the list, or right-click it, and select Add note.

Write it and save

Write your note, up to 2,000 characters, and select Save note.

Check that it worked

The note shows above the messages, under Your note. In the list, the conversation shows a note icon next to its date: point at it to read the note.

Change or delete a note

Select Edit next to the note, or Edit note in the conversation's menu. Change the text and select Save note, or select the trash icon to delete the note.

A note stays with its conversation when you archive it or move it to another folder.

Mira and your notes

When Mira summarizes a conversation, answers your questions about it, or drafts a reply to it, it takes your note on that conversation into account and sends it to its AI provider with the conversation. It never reads your notes on other conversations, and search and Ask Mira's chats don't use them.

To keep a mailbox's notes from Mira, open Settings, select the mailbox under Mailboxes, and turn off Let Mira use your notes. It is on unless you turn it off. See Mailbox settings.
