# Disconnect a calendar

Remove a calendar account from Mira without changing the calendar itself.

Disconnecting a calendar account takes its calendars out of Mira. Your events stay in the calendar, and you can connect it again later.

To keep the account but stop seeing one of its calendars, hide that calendar instead. See [Choose and rename calendars](https://mirahq-stg.app/docs/calendars/calendar-settings).

## Steps

### Open the account

In **Settings** > **Calendars**, select **Edit** next to the account.

### Disconnect it

Under **Disconnect**, select **Disconnect**, then **Disconnect** again to confirm.

## What Mira deletes

Mira deletes the account's sign-in or app password, the events it kept from its calendars, and the names you gave them in Mira. Its meetings leave the Overview and Upcoming. Nothing changes in the calendars themselves, and your mailboxes stay as they are.

For a Google or Outlook calendar, you can also remove Mira's access in your [Google Account permissions](https://myaccount.google.com/permissions) or in your Microsoft account's app permissions.
