# Ask about a conversation

Ask Mira questions about the conversation you are reading.

Ask Mira about one conversation, like "What price did we agree on?" or "Am I waiting for them, or are they waiting for me?". Mira answers from the messages in that conversation.

## Ask from the summary

After you [summarize a conversation](https://mirahq-stg.app/docs/ai/summarize), select **Ask a follow-up**, type your question, and press <kbd>Enter</kbd>. Ask as many follow-ups as you like.

## Ask in a chat

Select **Chat about this** above the messages. Ask Mira opens with the conversation beside the chat, and suggests questions to start with, like **What do they want from me?** and **Is there a deadline?**. The chat is saved, so you can come back to it later, and in it Mira can also read the text of PDF and text-file attachments. See [Ask Mira](https://mirahq-stg.app/docs/ai/ask-mira).

## Good questions to ask

- "What are they asking me to do?"
- "What was the deadline?"
- "Did anyone confirm the meeting time?"
- "What does the attached quote include?" (in a chat)
