# Sign-in and security

Manage how you sign in, turn on two-factor authentication, and sign out other devices.

Open **Settings**, then **Profile**, to manage how you sign in to Mira and the devices you are signed in on.

## Sign-in methods

You can sign in with a password, with Google, or both.

- To add Google, select **Connect Google** and choose your Google account.
- To stop signing in with Google, select **Disconnect Google**. Your connected Gmail mailboxes are not removed: signing in and mailboxes are separate.

Mira keeps at least one way to sign in, so the last one cannot be removed.

To reset a forgotten password, select **Forgot your password?** on the sign-in page. Mira emails you a link to choose a new one.

## Two-factor authentication

With two-factor authentication on, every new sign-in also asks for a code from an authenticator app on your phone.

### Start

Under **Two-factor authentication**, select **Turn on**, and enter your password to confirm it's you.

### Connect your authenticator app

Scan the code with your authenticator app, then enter the code it shows.

### Save your backup codes

Mira shows backup codes. If you lose your phone, each code signs you in once. Keep them somewhere safe, like a password manager.

To get new backup codes, select **Create new backup codes**. Your previous codes stop working.

## Sessions

**Sessions** lists the devices signed in to your Mira account. Select **Sign out** next to one to sign it out, or **Sign out of other sessions** to sign out everywhere but here. A session also ends after 90 days without use.
